ADRIANO ADEWALE:SOUND JOURNEY A SEGUE Production in association with the Lakeside Theatre Colchester Combining music, theatre and dance in an innovative and unique way, join the master percussionist’s remarkable journey from Africa to South America, desert to rain forest, village to city. A virtuoso, moving and intimate performance appealing directly to the senses! Created, composed and performed by: Adriano Adewale Brazilian master percussionist Adriano Adewale is to perform a solo show of music, dance and story-telling directed by Kate Flatt. Adewale, who has created the entire show, plays an astounding array of drums and percussion instruments in extraordinary and surprising ways; the audience is unlikely to have seen or heard drain-pipes, flip-flops, bottle-tops and water employed to such unique musical and percussive effect before.
Sound Journey is at turns humorous, passionate and thought provoking and is a production the whole family will enjoy. The audience is led on a sonic journey which evokes the enormity of traditional landscapes and communities from Africa to South America. A mesmerising performance for the whole family which is guaranteed to awaken the senses. ADRIANO ADEWALE:SOUND JOURNEY will be performed at festivals in the east of England prior to a two week run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We are taking bookings for UK touring for Autumn 2009 and Spring 2010. Please see below for details.
